Where am I? Accomplishments: Living with my husband Jeff of 38 years in Burlingame, CA, south of San Francisco. Having retired from various business management roles, I am currently a part time online administrator for a small international non-profit. Volunteering as leader and coordinator for my local church. Trying to stay fit for skiing and tennis. Recently learned Tai Chi as a new project.
Who's in my life? My husband Jeff and I love to explore the world and experience new cultures. Two amazing kids in their 30s. Finding meaningful work and partnerships and currently living in the Bay Area. My parents passed away in their 90s in Madison. Jeff's parents live in the Bay Area and are in their 90s. My three sisters and one brother live around the US, Jeff's parents, brothers and their families are all in the Bay Area.
What did high school have to do with Life? Advise to my kids: Some weird skill or project that you had in high school (leading the French club??) may turn out to be a life-long super-power. (international / global advocacy) A random extra class that you took (e.g. high school Physiology) may impact your outlook on the world. Scientific method helps me feel good about the continuous practice of assessing what's real and how things (including my aging body) work. People you hung out with in high school (tennis team, math club, French club, etc.) may still be on your holiday greeting list 50+ years later! Some of them may support you in your important life-events (kids' commitment ceremonies, parents' funerals
